Back To School- Part 1

It is still hard for me to believe that in just 2 short weeks we will have a kindergartener. These past 5 years have flown bye and I can’t wait to see her learn and grow this year. With that said—let’s talk back to school. I was really hoping Madison would be wearing uniforms to school this year to help with the morning routine, but she wont be so back to school shopping has begun. I thought I would share with you all some of my go to’s for back to school shoes and back packs for my kids and especially Madison (who has a small and wide foot).

Shoes

I always like to make sure they have a new and good pair of tennis shoes for the school year. I was able to grab some of my go to’s from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale.  I grabbed these Nike Frees for Madison. When they arrived in the mail—she was in love!!! They are so lightweight and they fit her wide foot so well.

Nike 'Free 5.0' Running Shoe (Baby, Walker & Toddler) (Regular Retail Price: $48.00)

I also grabbed the Saucony Shoes for Miles. How adorable is he going to be rockin’ these on the playground.

Saucony 'Jazz' Hook & Loop Sneaker (Baby, Walker & Toddler)

I also wanted Madison to have some other go to shoes for school and my tried and true shoes that  I always turn to for her are TOMS. She has worn these since she started walking and loves them. They are easy for her to get on and off—plus you can wash them. A bonus is that when you buy a pair—they send a pair to a child in need—How awesome RIGHT?? These are the ones I have picked out this year.  I figured they would go with lots of different outfits.

Black Glimmer Tiny TOMS Mary Janes

Ash Canvas Tiny TOMS Classics

and these TOMS  for Miles.

Backpack

My go to for backpacks and lunch boxes is the tried and true Pottery Barn Kids. They come in a variety of sized and patterns, which I love. Here are the ones I got this year! They are running a sale, so go check them out!!

With the school year approaching and my anxiety for Madison in a new school and with new friends growing-- I  hope she remembers this:

5 things to remind yourself daily

She will move mountains I know!!
