2 Year Check Up

We had Madison 2 year check up today. She did very well. She did not have to get any shots, since she was caught up on all of them. She did have to have her finger pricked, which she didn’t really mind. They ended up having to do that twice because the first one came back low as did the second one. They sent us to have some blood work done for these low numbers and everything came back just fine except the hemoglobin was low. They are thinking it is due to a virus she had a couple of weeks ago, so we have to go back in a week to have it check again. Other than that she scored a 100% on her test. She was 25.5 pounds ands 29.5 inches tall. This put her in the 50% for weight and .2% for height (she was on the charts!).

Yeah! No shots!

Yo Gabba Gabba Birthday Party!

Madison LOVES Yo Gabba Gabba (as you all probably know by now), so I decided to do her 2nd birthday party with a Yo Gabba Gabba theme. I first started with the invitations. Our good friend, Jamie, made the cutest Yo Gabba Gabba invitations.  Next, I had to make the guest list.  Our guest list has grown over the year, so we ended up having around 95 people at the party. Since we were going to have so many people, I ended up just doing it at the house, in the backyard, which was perfect, expect for the wind. I had a balloon arch made for the driveway, but that was ruined by the wind. I also bought a stand up Foofa and Brobee for the party, which Madison just adored. I tried my hardest to find an actual character to come to her party, but had no luck since it is a licensed show. As for other things, I ended up making table runners for ever table in the colors of the characters: red, light blue, yellow, lime green, and pink.  I ran out of time before the party to take any pictures, so I do not really have any good pictures of the tables or decorations. :( My friend Alice made the best cake, cake pops, cookies, and cupcakes. They were all amazing and looked just like the characters. I was able to make the goodie bags myself. I did them in the different characters and put the cookies and ice cream sidewalk chalk in them. I think they turned out pretty cute! Also, thanks to our friend's Caycee and Todd, we had a jump castle at the party for the kids. Madison loved it and I think I may just have to buy her one. I also ordered 2 of the Yo Gabba Gabba characters off of etsy that had their faces cut out, so they kids could take their pictures. However, they still hadn’t shown up an hour before the party. They did show up eventually and we were able to capture some photos of the kids. Over all the party was great. Madison had a great time and got lots of great presents. We are so blessed to have such great family and friends. Here are some pictures from the party and opening all her presents the next day!

* The balloon arch was supposed to be over the driveway—However, the wind had other plans for it :( Also, we hadn’t brought out all the food on the food table. I just wanted to make sure I had some sort of picture before.

Happy 2nd Birthday Sweet Madison!

I still can’t believe my baby girl is 2!! She is growing up so fast. I just wish we could pause her for a little while because she is at such a fun age.  She has become such a sweet, caring, fun, silly, and adorable little girl.

Madison loves pancakes, so this morning we took her to Early Bird Diner (just featured on the food network) for pancakes. They had peanut butter and raisin pancakes as their special, which is just up Miss Madison’s ally. She LOVED them as well as what we all were eating!! My mom meet us there to eat breakfast and then took her to Charlestown Landing for the morning while we set up for her Yo Gabba Gabba party (pics to come soon). We all had so much fun celebrating her birthday!!

Diaper Bag

I guess I got a little excited about the news of baby boy Condon and forgot to post sweet pictures of Madison on Valentine’s Day. We gave her some clothes and a baby doll diaper bag. As you probably know, she LOVED the diaper bag. She can’t put it down. It is the cutest thing to see her walk around with it while she is pushing her baby stroller. I think we have a little mama on our hands. I just may have some competition once this baby comes. Here are a few pictures of her right after she opened it up.

It’s a BOY!!

Well, it is official….we are having a BOY—a very active boy at that. He was all over the place for the ultrasound. Not sure if this is a sign of the future, but something is telling me we are going to have our hands full.  I was for sure it was going to be a girl, so this was a TOTAL surprise for me. It was VERY clear that it was a boy :) (see below) I am not sure how she would have hidden this from us if we weren’t finding out. Everything looked GREAT!!! What a great Valentine’s present!!SARAH 21 WKS_14  SARAH 21 WKS_6  SARAH 21 WKS_8    SARAH 21 WKS_12

For Real??

I have been overwhelmed with a disgusting feeling about the comments Rosie O’ Donnell said concerning  little people. I wasn’t really sure how to put it into words, but I think my girl Katie, who has 3 precious boys said it best (one of which has achondroplasia just like Madison). I mean what is there to be scared of….one of the sweetest, most precious kids in the whole world? If this is what there is to be scared of we have MAJOR problems or maybe the problem is just you!!
