Meet the Teacher

So today we had meet the teacher at Madison’s school- She loved meeting Mrs. Mary and Mrs. Frances. She walked right in and began playing with the baby dolls of course . She found the stroller (her favorite toy) and pushed the baby around the room. Once we met with the teachers, we took her to the playground for a few minutes. I can’t wait to see how she does on her first day next Tuesday. I think she is really going to have a good time!! Here is picture of her with Mrs. Mary and one on the playground.

Silly Madison!

We had Madison’s 18 month check up today!! Luckily, she did not have to have any shots, so it was a good visit.  She weighed 22 pounds and was 18 1/4 inches tall. When we got home from the doctor  Madison discovered that when she presses her face against the back door it makes a SILLY face. So now she loves to do it!! She can be so SILLY sometimes!!

Vegas Baby!!

So this past weekend, Craig and I went to “HOT” Vegas  to celebrate our 5 year anniversary. (I mean it was hot—over 100 degrees everyday)  We had a great time. We stayed at the MGM and loved it. We spent our mornings by the pool and the afternoons gambling, drinking, and exploring other hotels. We went to see Cirque du Soleil-- KA and we were disappointed. It was not as good as we were told it was going to be.  We are so thankful and lucky to have our parents close by to take care of Madison while we went. we can’t thank them enough for taking her for the weekend. She had a great time playing with her cousins and going to the beach. Here are a few pictures from our trip:

I hate zippers!!

My latest project was to make large throw pillows for Madison’s playroom. I wanted to make the pillows with covers that I could remove to wash if necessary, so I thought I would try to make them with a zipper. This was a nightmare. Me and zippers do not get along….needless to say I did not make pillows with zippers. I modified it and made the cases with a pocket closure—super cute!! Here is one of the pillows!! I am so proud of myself as this is the first pillow I made and it actually looks pretty darn good I think!!

Coach is next!

Madison has a new craze--- PURSES!!!  It is the cutest thing ever. She will carry her purse everywhere. This morning she had to take it to Mrs. Lou Lou’s. When we got there--- she strutted right into her house with it and showed everyone.  Mrs. Lou Lou said she did not put the purse down all day and even took her nap with it.  All I have to say is-- I taught her well!! I guess a Coach purse will be next on her list!!

Changing her babies diaper…..never seen her do this before, but it must have been a messy one because she wiped her for like 10 minutes—no joke. I was even impressed at one point she went and used the changing pad we have in her playroom. She is so darn cute…… Gosh, I love this girl!!

Addicted to Pinterest

Ok…. so every since I found Pinterest I have been glued to it and trying to find things to make!! The first thing I found that I wanted to make was a bulletin board for Madison’s playroom to hang up her artwork from school. I did not take pictures as I went along, but I will show you the finished product and what I was trying to make. The hardest part of the cork board project was finding a good frame, but I was able to find the frame for the cork board at Goodwill for $3…SCORE!!  As well as finding a good rug for the second project, which I found at Marshall’s for $12. I am still learning the ropes of doing things  myself, so they are not the best, but they will definitely do for now!! The second project was a new rug for the kitchen. This one turned out a little brighter than I was wanting, but I may just need to sand it down some more. So here are the looks for now!!

Craig is 30!!

So we have had a busy couple of days celebrating Craig turning 30!! Last night Madison stayed with my Mom while we all went out and partied like we were 21 again (not me as I was the DD) or should I say  tried to party like they were 21 again. We all had a good time and just to prove it, Craig did not leave the sofa until 3 pm.  Tonight, we went out to Craig’s parents house for a cookout and to celebrate again. Madison loves being around people and being the life of the party. She has this new “mean” face she likes to do and it is just so darn cute and we can’t help but laugh ever time she does it!!! Here are a few pictures from the weekend.

Born to Shop!!

We had a pretty quiet weekend, so Madison did a lot of playing in her playroom and I think she has a new favorite toy!! (Thanks to the Meyers for letting us borrow it) She can finally get herself on it and she loves it!! I also determined that Madison is going to take after her mom and LOVE TO SHOP!!! I was very excited about this—however I don’t think Craig was too excited!!
