6 Weeks

6 Weeks and FULL OF SMILES!!! My baby boy is a smiling machine! He loves to interact with us now by smiling and cooing back at us now. This is his big accomplishment this week!! Love him to pieces!! Also, check out how well he is doing with his head!

We can’t forget about SISSY (she calls herself this to him, which is so darn cute!). She has been her same old sassy sweet self. Here are a few picture from our trip to Fresh Fields last Friday night.  PS- Does she not look so grown up in this first picture from behind?? Also, the necklace she has one she wears ALL THE TIME. It was the necklace that Miles gave her in the hospital that says BIG SISTER. She LOVES it. She is such a proud big sister—melts my heart!

Best Big Sister

I think it is safe to say Madison is the Best Big Sister. The first thing she wants to do in the morning is love on him, which just melts my heart!! Her new favorite thing is to read to him. It is so sweet the way she holds the book and talks to him. She is so ready for him to get bigger and play with her!! We shall see if she is still saying this in 6 months when he is into everything of hers. Here is a sweet picture I captured the other morning. Miles is one lucky little fella to have such an amazing and loving big sister!

1 Month

I can not believe my baby boy is one month old. I tried doing a little photo shoot today, but out of the 200 photos I took I think there were only like 15 keepers. He was not in the picture taken mood as you can probably tell from some of these pictures.  He is so darn sweet and such a good baby. He is weighing in at 10.5 pounds and 21 1/4 inches long! He has smiled a few times, but I am not sure if was on purpose or not. He is doing really well with his head as well as rolling to his back from his tummy. Did I mention that the past 3 nights he has slept 8-9 hours?? That makes one happy and well rested momma!!!!

Miles’s Nursery

I have been dragging my feet with getting Miles’s nursery finished. I am still not 100% complete, but pretty close. I have been obsessed with the Serena and Lily Ben Collection bedding since Madison was born. I just love the colors and knew this was the perfect choice for his room. It worked well, since we already had the orange chair from Madison’s nursery. Also, we really didn’t have to get much since we had all the furniture from Madison. I did get a new light fixture and side table. Craig built the book ledges and wall ledge. If you are wondering about the paintings……My mom did the giraffe and elephant and Madison did the other on the ledge(not sure exactly what it is, but it looks good). Aren’t they awesome!! I thought this was a special touch to have the artwork all done by family. We can’t wait for him to start to use it!!

4 Weeks

4 weeks…. wow…. We had a check up and Miles is weighing 10.5 pounds and was 22 1/4 inches long.  The doctor also said I can start letting him sleep through the night, since he is weighing in over 10 pounds. He is usually only waking up once during the night, which isn’t too bad. He is starting to stay awake more, to coo, and to watch us more. He can also hold his head up pretty well on his own. I can’t wait to see what the next month has in store for him!!

I couldn’t do a post and leave out my precious girl!! She wanted pig tails this day. I think they are pretty darn cute!!

First LPA National Convention

We went to our first LPA National Convention last week in Washington DC. We were not really sure what to expect, but it turned out to be a really good week!! We meet lots of familiar faces that we have seen and kept up with on blogs and facebook. We also attend a few medical workshops and meet with a few doctors. We also made sure to do a few things that Madison would enjoy, like the zoo and children’s museum. Every night they had a dance, which at first Madison didn’t want anything to do with, but by the end she was a dancing machine!! We really enjoyed spending time with our other LPA families and their sweet and precious children!!! We had some good meals and social time with people we truly are blessed to call our friends!!  I didn’t take as many pictures as I should have, so this kind of sums up the trip in Instagram photos!!! We can’t wait for another LPA event!! PS- This backpack she has on in almost every picture was given to her, on the trip, by the Sweet and Wonderful Granshaw Family and she would hardly take it off. She napped in it and wore it everywhere!! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE BACKPACK!!!
