LPA Nationals Orlando

The LPA national conference was in Orlando this year, so we were so excited that it was so close. We love going and hanging with all our special LPA families. Madison looks forward to it and never wants to leave once we get there. This year we hit up Disney for 3 days and spent the other days hanging by the hotel pool with our friends. These families mean to so much to us and hold such a special place in our hearts. Madison is able to do her thing without any judgement or stares. She has made so many special and life long friendships!!

 

First Day of 2nd Grade

Y’all these years keep coming and I don't know what to do. My baby is going into 2nd grade. She was so excited for school today and loves to learn!! Her class is filled with some of her dearest friends, which she is soooo excited about! I hope this year she learns and grows as never before!! Watching her be so eager to learn fills my heart with  so much joy!! I hope this desire and drive never dies! Cheers to a wonderful year baby girl!

Visit With Santa

I wasn’t exactly sure how it was going to go with Santa this year—Miles has been really into Christmas—the elf—and Santa, so I was hoping he would do better with it than he did last year. All day, he kept talking about giving Santa a hug and what he was going to say. I was so excited!! and then we showed up….. and he did awesome!! He sat there and told him what he wanted and smiled for the picture—he even gave Santa a high five!! He was so proud of himself and he kept telling us – “he did it!!” These joys of Christmas, seen through his eyes, are so awesome. They make Christmas that much better!! Now—Morgan on the other hand—just didn’t know what to think. Poor Thing!

Last Day of Kindergarten

I still can’t believe my baby is done with kindergarten.  She has learned so much and passed with flying colors! She is reading and writing so well! Her teachers this year were amazing. Mrs.Ferguson and Mrs. Stubenrach were so patient and loving to these kids. I loved being able to help out and spend time with the entire class. I was so nervous and  worried about this transition for Madison. I was worried that she would stand out and get made fun of—that she wouldn’t make friends—that she would need help more than others—but to say to she proved us wrong is an understatement. She blew us away. Her teachers told me several times  how amazing  she  was  in never letting anything get in her way. She never once complained that she couldn’t do something. WE ARE SO PROUD OF HER!! She loved  everything  about school from learning to playing to eating to socializing. I can’t wait to see what first grade holds for her!!
