First Day of 2K
The whole morning he kept saying camp—camp. This summer he started camp, at his new school, to prepare him for school since he will be one of the youngest in the class. I think he may have been a little shocked to find out that it was school and not camp, but he still had fun he said. I thought this shirt was perfect for him as I know he will be the play ground legend for knocking everyone over with his size and determination. Last night I let him wear his back pack—I thought this might last oh 5 minutes or so----no 2 hours later he still had it on. This kid loves his back pack—so cute!!!! Today he walked right into class and didn’t even look back. That’s my boy!! This was not an easy task—getting a picture of the wild child holding a sign by myself. Well, this was the best I could do as it was raining and he was so ready to go!! Sorry the sign is upside down—It took me forever just to get him to hold it with the word side out, so once he didn’t I didn’t really care it was upside down. Plus getting this boy to stand still and even look at me is a task these days.

First Day of Kindergarten
Powder Room
So I am going to go through and show y’all some of the rooms in our new house. We have been working hard to get it just right. I am sure we will still have things to add as we go along, but I wanted to share some of the things that we have done. Craig has done an amazing job on lots of my projects that I have wanted done!! I will try and link up any tutorials or sources that I can. When you enter the house you have a powder room and a bar area on the left and the dining room on the right. I am going to start with the powder room. There was not storage in the powder room, so I had Craig make these shelves for above the toilet. I just LOVE them and they were super easy!!! I then went to Home Goods, Target, and At Home to find all the little trinkets. We also needed a stool for the bathroom, so I whipped up this one using this stool.
I am going to go ahead and say that taking pictures indoors of rooms is not my thing. Sorry for the bad photos.
I made this scrabble letter to sit on the bar. I think it adds a cool rustic touch to it. I didn’t follow a tutorial on this—I simply had Craig cut me a piece of wood 12x11. I then sanded and stained it. After that I used my Silhouette machine and cut out the letter and number. I know really in Scrabble the C is not worth 6 points, but I changed it to match out family!! I thought that added a personal touch. Once I had the stencil from the Silhouette—I simply laid it on the wood and then painted with black acrylic paint. That was it—easy peasy.

Summer Go To’s
This summer has been HOT, so the kids and I have lived in shorts and flip flops. Here are some of my summer go to’s that won’t break the bank. You all know I am a sucker for a good deal. What were your summer go to’s??
I seriously wear these everyday—they go with just about every outfit. You will definitely get your moneys worth,
I love these shorts. They are such a lightweight and reasonable everyday pair of shorts.
Miles lived in these shoes this summer. We had them in 3 different colors. It is so nice because you they can get wet and when they get dirty you just wash them off.
I love Mossimo t shirts. They come in so many different colors and are super comfy. Oh yeah did I mention super reasonable???
Urban Outfitters Initial Bar Necklace
This is the perfect everyday necklace that goes with everything. Such a simple yet perfect necklace.
Madison has lived in her havaianas gold flip flops this summer. They are so comfortable and stylish for little girls. I also caved and bought a pair!

Back To School–Part 2
I always love to give the teachers a little something, at the beginning of the year, to show our appreciation and excitement for the school year. This year I quizzed some of my teacher friends to find out what they might like and this is what I have done for Miles and Madison’s teachers and their aids. Thanks to Pinterest for helping me out this year!!
So I hopped on Pinterest and downloaded these tags….. "Flips" and Sharpie . I then just used some bakers twine to
attach them and walla!!!!

4 Months
This month was a big month—she found her feet and gained full control of her head. I can now carry her on my hip—which she loves!! She also has mastered rolling both ways. Needless to say she doesn’t stay still much any more. She also loves to stick her tongue out, which is the cutest thing ever. I believe she is also hard core teething because she can’t keep her hands out of her mouth. The main thing this next month is working on her sleeping through the night! 4 month check up went well—26 inches long (97%) and 13.9 pounds (43%). Rice cereal here we come!
