Victory Junction-- Family Weekend

WOW- what a weekend! We had the privilege of spending the weekend at Victory Junction in North Carolina. Most people have never heard of it-- well that's because it is a camp designed for kids with disabilities. It provides an amazing place for these kids to let loose and have fun their way! When we arrived, we were greeted with counselors waving banners and streamers over our car as we drove in. Talk about feeling special!! I forgot to mention how beautiful this place was. Wow-- it is in the middle of nowhere -- I mean no cell phone reception-- but absolutely amazing. It is all funded by the Petty family, so the entire place is racing theme and super awesome. We had our own cabin that consisted of race car beds and gas pumps as the night stands. Madison had her own counselors the entire time, who she was in love with and desperately misses now. We love you Jill and Sydney!! The weekend was all about them!! She did everything from crafts to bowling to fishing to archery to horse back riding to the salon. She did not want to leave!! The food was amazing and every meal was followed by a dance party!!! My kind of meal!!  It was so nice to be surround by other families who get "this" and other kids who get her. They stayed up late playing games and just being kids. It was so amazing!!!! We can't thank Victory Junction enough for the amazing weekend. Madison is already counting down the days until summer camp!!
