Settling in…

We are home and settling in nicely. Madison is so in love and doesn’t want to leave her side. If she starts crying she runs over to see what she needs!! She also wants to be holding her all the time, which is a big help for me. Miles is warming up to her. He will give her kisses and says “Hey Baby”, but if not watching him-- he will also poke her in the eye and say “EYE”.  We are so in love and can’t wait to watch her grow!!

Wow-- what a day. We went to the doctor for my 40 week check up and he sent us straight to hospital. Once they hooked me up to the monitor-- they said I was contracting every 6-8 minutes. Yes, I know most people would feel this, but I don't. I then got an epidural and they broke my water and literally 15 minutes later she was here. 3 pushes and my big baby girl was here. She weighed 8 pounds 14 ounces and 21 inches long. I feel like she looks so much like Miles!! We are so in love and I think her biggest fan is her big sister. She has been amazing and so infatuated with her. Thank you for all the thoughts and prayers for our healthy baby girl!!

 

This was me testing out the camera to make sure it was ready for her arrival—little did I know she would be here 15 minutes later and no time to get the camera to someone to take pictures upon her arrival. My hunky husband!!
