Madison Style

My girl has her own style and I love it!!

9 MONTHS

He is becoming the sweetest and most loving little boy. He loves to snuggle and give big smiles!! He is such a happy baby. This month he has really started exploring. He is still rocking and crawling backwards, but has mastered the army crawl. He also has figured out some of his toys and loves to play with them. Sissy is so excited that Miles can “play” now. She loves him so!! We also let Miles sit up in the bath tub and he LOVED it!! He loves to splash and play, so I think he is going to really dig the pool! His nine month check up went well. I asked the doctor about Miles loving to grind his teeth and he said it was ok for now. I hate the noise, but Miles loves it! He doesn’t do it while he is sleeping, he does it while he is awake, which is weird to me. Miles weighed in at 21.8 pounds(80%) and 30 1/4 in long (99%). OH YEAH--- he really started saying MAMA!!!!! Melts my heart!!!!

 

4 Year Check Up

I have always heard that the 4 year check up is a tough one. Well, I am here to say it is!! I had warned her about getting shots and she went into it knowing and saying she was going to be a tough girl. However, when the shots came out, it all changed. It was horrible and she is still talking about them 3 days later. I felt so bad for her. Other than that she was a champ!! She did her hearing test, eye test, and finger prick with no fuss. She weighed in at 35 pounds and 34.5 inches.

Putting Her To Work

Every year I always help her write her thank you notes for all her birthday presents. However this year, she is 4 and can do them all by herself. I told her she could do what she wanted and then sign them!! They don't all look this good. Most don't look like much, but she is having fun doing it.  She is growing up and I love who she is becoming!! 

Princess meet Princess

I took Madison this weekend to meet, one of the newest Disney princesses, Elsa from the move Frozen. Madison was so excited to meet her. She even brought her some flowers from the yard!! I love my princess!!

Cowgirl 4th Birthday Party

I think I have finally recovered from the planning and execution of Madison’s cowgirl 4th birthday party. She insisted on having a cowgirl party, so I made it happen. We had it out at my parent's farm, which was the perfect setting and enabled us to be able to do a hayride. The weather started out a little rainy, but 15 minutes into it and it was done. I am a sucker for pinterest and pretty little details for parties. I had this vision of a more vintage cowgirl theme and I think it turned out perfectly! I went with the light pink, aqua and brown color scheme. I made all the kids cowboy or cowgirl hats! I also used lots of burlap and mason jars. Craig also built the saw horse game, which I thought turned out so cute! The photo area was a hit and I got some CUTE pictures. My brother also made the hayride happen. The kids loved getting to feed and pet the horses. We are so blessed to have some many awesome friends and family (I think there was around 75 people) that came to help celebrate.
