We have been potty training for awhile, but just this weekend took the plunge and started with only big girl panties and no more pull ups (except at night time). It went well, but I was very nervous about her going to school like this. Yesterday, was her first day at school with big girl panties. She did GREAT!! She had 1 accident while on the playground. I figured this would be when she would have one, if any at all, because when she gets playing hard I think she forgets. We are so proud of her!!! This picture was on the way to school yesterday. She is just way too cool for school in her BIG GIRL PANTIES!! Today, we went back to school to have her class picture taken. She has done so well today with the big girl panties as well. I think she is getting the hang of it. I can’t believe my little girl is wearing panties!! Keep up the good work BOO BOO!!
Last night, we went out to celebrate Gugu’s (my mom) birthday. As you can tell from the pictures, we left the house in a nice outfit and came home in the back up outfit (Thank you Potty Training). We had a great time despite the minor accident. Madison LOVED the horses outside the restaurant and insisted on wanting to ride them. We all had a great meal and a great time!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY GUGU!!
We decided to brave the mosquitoes and head to Charlestown Landing. We drenched Madison in bug spray and headed out. It actually ended up not being that buggy, which was so nice!! All the animals seemed to be out and about, so she had a great time. As you can tell again by the pictures, Madison is obsessed with having something in her hands. She has to be carrying something it seems at all times even when she is sleeping. At night time, I swear she goes to bed with at least 10 different things in her hands ranging from diapers to toothbrushes to stuffed animals. Today, she ended up carrying around a pull-up, her purse, and a plastic bag from her lunch. We had a great afternoon with the animals!!
PS- We also tried transitioning to just big girl panties this weekend. It went ok. She had accidents, but all in all she is making progress. Wish us luck this week with school!!
Last night, I went to Madison’s Back to School Night. It was great! I got to meet a lot of the other moms and see what they will be doing through out the year. I am so excited about her new school and all that they will be learning. Her teacher “Mrs. Belle” wanted each of us to sign up to bring a snack one month that goes along with what they are learning, so I signed up for October to bring something orange and something triangle. We shall see what I can come up with. They also had lots of artwork around the room that the kids had been working on that we hadn’t seen. Yet again, I forgot my camera, so I took one with my phone. This was Madison version of herself. I thought it was pretty good as some kids had their mouths near the eyes. I can’t wait to get some of this home and hung, in her playroom, on her new MASTERPIECES wall.

We now have new handles on the “doora”, so needless to say Madison is very excited. These handles are easier for her to open and if she stands on her tippy tippy toes she can open it without the stool. She now is opening the door, sticking her head in, and saying “Hello Guys”. Just a little insight into our everyday life around the Condon House, which consist right now of A LOT of door opening and closing. Hope everyone is having a great week!
Footprints on the Heart
Some people come into our live
and quickly go.
Some people move our souls to dance.
They awaken us to new understanding
with the passing whisper of their wisdom.
Some people make
the sky more beautiful to gaze upon.
They stay in our lives for awhile,
leave footprints on our hearts
And we are never, ever the same.
I came across these precious footprints of our sweet B today and thought I would share. I can’t begin to explain how much he has left footprints on our hearts. We think about him everyday and miss him SO. Even though these footprints may be small, the love that fills our hearts for him is so BIG! MISS YOU SWEET B!!
So this weekend, we headed to Atlanta with my family for the Clemson/Auburn football game. This is always so much fun to go out of town with my family. We had a jam packed weekend filled with Braves games, shopping, dinning, and football. Friday night, the guys headed to the Braves game, while the girls went out to eat and hit the park. Madison loved the playground and capped off evening with meeting Phillip Phillips. We were playing in the park, on the playground, and he just happened to be singing in the park. As he was leaving, he stopped and talked with Madison. This sent the 16 year old girls following him into a tizzy. They were so jealous that he was talking with Madison and not them. Saturday, we headed to the aquarium bright and early. All I have to say is AMAZING!! This aquarium is the best that I have ever been too. They have some of the neatest creatures and the dolphin show is amazing. I wasn’t able to capture many photos, but I did get a few. We loved being able to go into the penguins, stand next to the whale shark(HUGE), and enter into many of the fish exhibits via looking bubbles. After the aquarium, we headed to IKEA. This was my first experience at IKEA and it was CRAZY!! We had the best time and got lots of great things. I still can’t get over how BIG the store is. That night we headed to the game, while GUGU and Madison hit the park again. Once again, she got to meet the band of the night, which was Smash Mouth. They were walking in an walk into the playground to talk with her. She is some kind of celebrity magnet. We had such a great weekend in Atlanta.
Can you find Madison??
