Peanuts and Paul

These are 2 of Madison favorite things: boiled peanuts and her Uncle Paul. This girl can eat some boiled peanuts. I used to think no one would ever eat more than Craig, but I think I have found the person that can….. MADISON!! She also LOVES her Uncle Paul. He is so good with her. He comes over often to play and just hang out with her. Madison is always asking to go see him. Yesterday, we were shopping and she wanted to get him something….so we did. I am interested to see if he likes it!! We are headed to Disney World this week!! Madison can’t stop talking about it. She is so excited!! I can’t wait to see her sweet and happy face when we get there. I am also very excited that we finally get to meet sweet Lyla and Emma. It just so happens that they will be visiting their grandparents in Orlando the same week. We are planning on meeting up at the Animal Kingdom!! Can’t wait!!

 

 

                     

You may be wondering if I do her hair like this…the answer is No, but it is cute….She wanted to be just like her Best Buddy Mackenna!  

 

 

My Boo Boo and Me

I love to take pictures, which means I am rarely in them. I realize now that I need to start letting Craig snap some shots of me with my boo boo.

 

 

I also couldn’t resist snapping a shot of these scrumptious piggy's. I mean are these not the cutest things you have ever seen!!

Dance Update

Madison seemed to participate more last night!! She actually was the first to get up and sashay(sp?) across the room for the teacher. I think it is going to get better and better ever class. I still can’t get over how darn cute she is in this outfit!!

Potty Pro

Well, we have been trying to get Madison to start using the potty and I think we have officially begun!!! She LOVES to go PEE PEE on the potty. Every time we put her on it….. SHE GOES!!!!  She does try to push really hard to go poo poo, but it hasn’t happened yet. I am so excited that she is getting the hang of it so easily.  It does help that she gets M & M’s after she goes!! The main thing we need to work on is for her to TELL us that she needs to go. Right now I just randomly put her on it through out the day.  YEAH MADISON!! We are so proud of you!!  I think she may kill me in 18 years, but i couldn’t resist to share this cute picture. She also showed her best buddy Mackenna how she could go pee pee, so they both got to enjoy some M & M’s!!

                          

Father’s Day

Gosh…Where do I start…….Craig, you are the best father!! Madison and Bennett are so lucky to have such a wonderful, fun, down to earth, and generous daddy to guide and love them. You amaze me everyday with your love and life for our kids. They are so lucky to have such a wonderful role model in their lives! You bring out such fun and joy in all of us. We all adore you and couldn’t imagine our lives without you. Thank you for being such an AMAZING daddy!! I also want to say Happy Father’s day to my dad “Paw Paw” and my father in law “Granddaddy”.

                     

Big Girl Room

I think I am about done with Madison’s big girl room. It has taken a little longer than expected, but that is ok. The main things I needed to find were the bedding, furniture, and wall items-- everything else would hopefully work from her nursery. I started out by looking for the bedding. I was trying to find one I liked that would match with her walls and light fixture, so we would NOT have to repaint. This was my goal and it took awhile, but I finally found one that I fell in LOVE with from Layla Grace.  It was the  Little House Suzani Pink Set , which CC and Granddaddy gave her for her birthday. The next task was to find the furniture. I searched all over the internet and many furniture stores and finally decided on the Young America myhaven bed in white. Her Gigi and Paw Paw loved it so much that they wanted to give her the big girl bed for her birthday. I also ended up getting the dresser and nightstand to match.  This furniture is very well made and also made in the USA!!  The final touches were a few pieces for the walls. I still am not sure what to put above the dresser, but for now I am going to leave her monogram that was there above her crib. I then ordered 3 white frames in a custom size from Etsy for her pictures. Lastly, I have always loved the saying “ I found my prince charming I call him Daddy”, so I wanted to have this done for her room. Madison is such a daddy’s girl, so it fits so well in there. She LOVES her big girl room so much. Once we put her in her bed she doesn’t want to get out. She will stay and play in there for hours. I think it is now done.  Thank you CC, Granddaddy, Gigi, and Paw Paw for making her room so special!!

Ballerina Madison

Madison had her first dance class last night. All she has been talking about, since we got her ballet shoes, was “dance class”. She was so excited that she even took a few naps with her dance shoes in hand. She is going to be taking dance with her friend Ashley. However, Ashley could not go to the first class, so Madison didn’t know anyone. I think she did pretty well for it being her first dance class and not knowing anyone. She didn’t cry when we dropped her off, which was great. However, she did sit there and take it all in most of the class. We were able to watch her from a one way mirror they had, so I was able to capture this short video of her taking it all in. By the end of the class she was up and participating more. I think I will not send her in her tutu next time as it was a little massive on her. I think she is one cute ballerina!! I tried to get some pictures at the house before we went, but all she wanted to do was spin around and play.

        

 

Pirate Madison

Today, was our nephew, Cole’s 3rd Birthday party! He had a pirate themed party, which was just perfect for him. They went all out for this party. Madison had a great time. They had pirate attire for the kids to wear, so we put an eye patch on her thinking she would just take it off….. we were wrong. She didn’t mind wearing it and kept it on for awhile. I must say she was one CUTE pirate!! Aunt Allison gave her a tattoo, which she went around showing everyone and got upset when it came off in the bath tub. Madison didn’t know too many of the kids, so she ended up playing by herself in the tree house with the kitchen most of the time. She eventually found someone or should I say something that would play with her.  What a great party!!

Sassy Walk

Madison has learned this sassy walk from her best buddy Mackenna and her cousin Connor. I tried to capture it on video, but it seems to not be the best that she has done. She got a little distracted. I am going to try and capture it again later. She is so darn cute when she walks with her hands on her hips and shakes those hips.

ZOO

My mom (GIGI) had the day off, so we all took Madison to the zoo in Columbia. We all had a blast. Madison loved all the animals EXCEPT the gorillas. She wanted to pet them all including the BIG snakes and alligator. I mean is she crazy!! Her favorite was the monkeys that were swinging and climbing all around.  As you can see in the pictures, she also wanted to carry both of the maps we had—not sure why, but she did. She had a blast and we can’t wait to go again.
