We are HOME!

All I have to say is… Madison is amazing. We arrived at the hospital at 8am Wednesday morning. Madison had not eaten or drank anything since 630 the night before. They ended up having to do a surgery before hers, so she did not go back into the OR until 11am. She did not complain once about being hungry or thirsty. She also went straight up to the doctors and said “UP” and they carried her right into the OR with no fuss. Dr. Glazier had told us it would take around 4 hours, but once he got in there it all went so smoothly he was done in a little over 2. This was probably the longest 2 hours of my life. We then got to go back into the recovery room and hold her. She was already awake and holding her head up on her own. After about 30 minutes they wheeled her up to her room….Room 728 in the Children’s Hospital. We had a great view of the awesome atrium playroom. Madison was on Morphine for the first couple of hours and then by the next morning she was just on Tylenol. The morphine made her sick a couple of time, but once we switched to Tylenol she was herself again. We took her to the playroom and she was down and off. She amazed us. She was running around the atrium and having the best time. Since she was doing so well, we got to come home TODAY!! She is such a miracle and we are so glad it all went smoothly and she did so well!! Here are some pictures from our time in the hospital.

* The hospital gave her this cute pillow to make it feel more like home. She got to take it home with her!! They have volunteer make them for the children, which I thought was a great idea.

* We looked over at Madison and she was using her blood pressure cuff as a stethoscope to listen to her baby’s heart. The nurse thought it was so sweet and cute that she gave Madison a new stethoscope to bring home with her. She loves to go around now and listen to everyone's heart!! I think we may have a future doctor/nurse on our hands.

* The hospital had a wonderful playroom for all the kids to play in. Madison LOVED it!!

Love to PINTEREST!

So now that Pinterest projects 1-3 are complete….here are project 4-6…..Wow…..PINTEREST is VERY addicting. Project #4 is my fall wreath for the front door. I was able to complete this one on the car ride to Greenville. It was very tedious, but worth it! Project#5 is the coat hooks for Madison’s playroom, so I have somewhere to hang her backpack for school. This project by far has taken the longest. It still is 100%, but will do for now. Project #6 is the soap dispensers I needed for the downstairs bathroom and kitchen. This by far has been the easiest and quickest project.  I went looking for the mason jars with the zinc lids. The only ones I could found were $20—sorry not going to pay that for a homemade soap dispenser, so I settled for the regular mason jar.  Hope my addiction is not rubbing off on you!!

Mission- Haircut #2

I am not sure what Madison has been eating or drinking, but her hair has been growing like crazy. It was definitely time for a cut. I was a little nervous not knowing if she would do as well as she did with her first haircut. Well…..She did GREAT!! Her GIGI loaded her up with lollipops and she sat there the entire time and didn’t make a peep or move an inch.   It was a breeze!! Mission complete!!

My Little Party Girl

This weekend we went up to Clemson for the Clemson Vs. Auburn football game. It was a 12pm game, which meant we needed to be out tailgating by 8:30am. Madison was a champ at this tailgating thing. She tailgated from 8:30am to about 5:30 pm. I was so impressed and we all loved having her there!! The morning started off a little chilly, but it soon warmed up. I was so glad it did, so she could wear the dress I made for her. That night, however, was a different story.  She came down with a stomach bug, which is  no fun for anyone. Evidently, the stomach bug is going around her school. Today she is fever free and feeling like herself again. Here are a few pictures from the tailgate.

Shoe Addiction

Madison is starting early with her momma’s shoe addiction. She loves to try on shoes. It doesn’t matter what size or whose they are. I think it is so cute to see her put them on and try and walk around the house. She actually does pretty well with my shoes…Craig’s shoes on the other hand are just way to BIG for her to walk around in. However, she still tries. Here are some pictures of her with our shoes this weekend in the midst of our birthday party filled weekend. Two of Madison’s friends Atticus and Connor turned one, so we got to celebrate with both of them!! She had a great time. She is our little party girl!! I forgot my camera for the parties, so unfortunately I do not have any pictures of her and her precious friends.

First Day of School

Today was a big day in the Condon House-- Madison had her first day of school!!   I think Madison was more ready for school than I was ready for her to go to school. Needless to say …she did great!! We dropped her off and in she went….no problems and no tears shed. I was a little worried with how she would do with not taking a nap until 12:30, but she did fine. Craig went to pick her up and she was so excited to see him.  On the way home Craig gave her some lunch….when he got home she had fallen asleep with a french fry in her mouth. I guess she was tired. Madison got a stamp on her hand at school and walked around all afternoon pointing at it and smiling. I think she had a really good time!! Thank you Mrs. Mary and Mrs. Francis!! Here are some pictures of us dropping her off this morning.:

Labor Day!

We had a great Labor Day—we had friends and family out at Craig’s parents house to swim, eat, and hang out!!  Madison had a great time playing with all the kids. We also took them on a golf cart ride to see the monkeys that live next door. Mackenna and Madison loved seeing all the animals. Madison was being her silly old self as always!!  My camera got a little foggy going from inside to out so some of the pictures are not so good.  We put Madison in bed early, so that she can be well rested for her first day of school tomorrow!! We have her outfit and backpack ready.
